SKETCHNOTES: THE BALLOT OR THE BULLET

‘The Ballot or The Bullet’ is the title of a public speech by civil rights activist Malcolm X. The speech was delivered April 3, 1964. Malcolm urged “Afro-Americans” to put religious differences aside, unite under Black Nationalism and become politically astute in order to fight systematic racism. Malcolm also warned it may be necessary to take up arms, if the government continued to ignore their struggle for human rights.
